THE AMULET

By researching the relationship between children and jewellery, I find out that children in city have no longer worn traditional jewellery now and they are also skeptical of the jewellery with an “amulet” meaning.

Starting with Dragon Boat Festival, the Chinese traditional festival, this set of works deconstructs the traditional “amulet” jewellery and presents a new appearance to show the current situation where traditional jewellery is left behind people’s mind and to furnish “amulet” with widely favored appearance as well as its own auspicious meaning.
